Install ToDoddle

ToDoddle works in an ordinary browser and can also be installed as a web app. Installing gives it its own icon and app-like window; it does not create another account, change workspace access, or require an app store.

Open Profile → App to see guidance for the device you are currently using.

Android, Chrome, and Edge

When the browser reports that ToDoddle can be installed, Profile → App shows an Install ToDoddle button. Select it and approve the browser prompt.

If the button is not present, open the browser menu and look for Install app or Add to Home Screen. Browser support and eligibility determine whether an install option appears. Continue using ToDoddle normally if it does not.

iPhone and iPad

1. Open ToDoddle in Safari.
2. Tap Share, then choose Add to Home Screen.
3. Turn on Open as Web App, then tap Add.

Apple controls this flow, so ToDoddle cannot display the system prompt for you.

Check whether it is installed

Open ToDoddle from the home screen, dock, or app launcher, then visit Profile → App. The page shows Installed on this device when the browser exposes installed mode.

Installation is device-specific. Sign in normally on every device and remove the installed app through that device's operating-system controls.

Supporting installed browsers may show the global unread-message count on the ToDoddle app icon. The count updates when the app starts, receives a live message/read change, or returns to the foreground. Reading all messages clears it. Some browsers and operating systems do not implement app badges; the normal in-app unread indicator continues to work there.

When the connection drops

ToDoddle warns when the browser is offline and pauses live updates. It deliberately does not replay cached workspace pages or API responses as if they were current. If you open a new page without a connection, the installed app shows a simple offline screen; reconnect before relying on task, message, billing, or project state.

When an updated app shell is ready, ToDoddle offers a Reload button. Finish any unsent text first, then reload to activate the update.
